The desilter is designed for removing fine solid particles from drilling fluids in solids control systems. It is the third-stage solids control equipment after the desander, mainly used to separate particles sized 15-45 microns from drilling mud, improving drilling fluid properties and enhancing drilling efficiency.
The equipment is widely used in oil & gas drilling, HDD drilling and drilling fluid recycling systems.
Main Features
Working Principle
The drilling fluid enters the hydrocyclones through centrifugal pressure. Under centrifugal force, fine solid particles are separated and discharged from the underflow outlet, while cleaned drilling fluid returns to the active mud system.
